Yesterday, at an environmental event, I had a conversation with a psychotherapist who brought to light the increased cases of climate change anxiety, also referred to as eco-anxiety, among both adults and adolescents.
Do not despair. Despite the harsh realities of climate change, it is still possible to prevent its worst long-term effects.
Stay positive and DO something, even if it's small. Taking action is the best strategy to ease anxiety.
It is important that we acknowledge this issue and work towards finding ways to support individuals who may be struggling with eco-anxiety. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please feel free to reach out to me or a friend anytime you need to talk.
