While off-topic for you, I'm sure a lot of your followers would like to hear the story of your migration; pros, cons, pitfalls and lessons learned. There must be a story there somewhere. I envision that there will be many people making the same changes as you and me, so your experience could be useful to them.
That's an interesting idea. The migration will take some time. Unfortunately we allowed ourselves to become very comfortable with the convenience of many applications and forgot that they are selling us—our data, our attention, our preferences.
That’s the first problem and the second is you have nothing to hide until someone decides that something about you is wrong. Then you can’t escape and it’s too late for privacy.
